A economista participa de congressos e atividades de lançamento do livro "Como a China escapou da terapia de choque"
A economista Isabella M. Weber visita o Brasil para o lançamento de seu livro "Como a China escapou da terapia de choque: o debate da reforma de mercado", editado pela Boitempo, tradução de Diogo Faia Fagundes, texto de orelha de Elias Jabbour e capa de Maikon Nery. Congressos de economia e uma série de atividades abertas e gratuitas em torno da obra também fazem parte da agenda.
No livro, Weber faz um panorama das reformas econômicas que moldaram o caminho da China ao longo das últimas décadas. Com extensa pesquisa e diversas entrevistas, apresenta as ações que permitiram ao país asiático seguir o caminho da reindustrialização gradual e chegar ao século 21 como uma das principais potências mundiais.

Seu trabalho chamou atenção de autoridades econômicas brasileiras, o que lhe rendeu convites para se reunir com alguns integrantes do governo – dentre eles, o Ministro da Fazenda Fernando Haddad.
